Earning statewide recognition for the great work you have done for your schools goes a long way in building credibility for your program.
That’s where the California School Public Relations Association’s annual statewide Excellence in Communication Awards program comes in. These awards recognize the successful efforts of education agencies and communication professionals in producing materials and services that meet the information needs of communities throughout our state.
We are now accepting award entries in several categories:
Comprehensive Program or Campaign (ballot measure information campaign; crisis communication and issues management; special events' internal communications campaign; social media campaigns' marketing campaign; and community engagement campaign).
These will be judged using the four-step PR process.
Tactics (media relations; annual report; feature/editorial writing; general publications/collateral materials; multimedia/visual communication; logo design; newsletter; internet/intranet/website).
To make entering even simpler this year, these entries require only a short description of the purpose and audience of the work; they’ll be judged based on the quality of the entry’s writing and/or design and overall impact.
Special individual recognitions for leaders in our field: Communicator of the Year and Emerging Communicator of the Year. There is no cost to nominate a colleague, so nominate someone today!
Comprehensive and tactical entries are only $40 each ($50 for non-CalSPRA members).
You may enter as many pieces of your work as you want before the 5 p.m. deadline on Jan. 16, 2019. To enter, please visit our awards program site. You will need to create a login the first time you enter the site, and mail your payment by the entry deadline to:
