Who We Are
The California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) is a nationally recognized leader in school communications with a membership of more than 850. Members represent school districts and county offices of all sizes, ranging from the largest urban districts to those located in remote areas serving one or two schools, as well as other professionals in the field of education. Some members are trained public relations professionals, many others serve a variety of roles in educational agencies and rely on CalSPRA to provide communication guidance and support.
What We Do
CalSPRA is working to create a climate for better public understanding, commitment and support of education. Our programs are designed to serve the needs of various levels of expertise and roles in school communication. Professional development programs range from panels of speakers on current issues to the “how to” seminars that offer practical tips on communication skills. We also provide members with valuable templates and checklists and a variety of ways to connect with others in the field. In short, CalSPRA provides connections, resources, and collaboration to support and inspire school communicators.
