CalSPRA (California School Public Relations Association) invites you to join us for a fun night out together in Washington, D.C.! We don't get to all be together very often. Come spend time with your California colleagues and friends, new and old, exploring the monuments through a trolley and walking tour, ending in the Adams Morgan neighborhood for drinks.
7:10 p.m. Check-in w/ Jennifer Dericco, CalSPRA President-elect
Front of Omni Shoreham Hotel
7:30 p.m. Tour by Trolley from the Omni Shoreham Hotel
10:30 p.m. Drinks in the Adams Morgan Neighborhood
Free for NSPRA Seminar attendees from California. $40 for personal guests (see below).
Spaces are limited so this event is first come first serve. Register to reserve your spot.
Because this is a networking event with limited spaces, priority is offered to NSPRA Seminar attendees from California. You do not need to be a CalSPRA member to join in the fun and networking! If you would like to bring a personal guest (a friend or family member), register them as a "Personal Guest" and they will be added to the waitlist. We will offer spots first to conference attendees from California and release remaining open spots to those on the waitlist beginning on July 8. The cost for your guest is $40 due prior to boarding (online, cash, or check to CalSPRA). If you have any trouble registering your guest to the waitlist, email firstname.lastname@example.org with their name and email address and we will add them to the list in order of date and time stamp.
- It is highly recommended to bring bottled water on the tour. There are no opportunities during the tour to purchase water along the route.
- Wear comfortable shoes and clothing layers.
- The tour makes three stops, at the MLK Jr. Memorial/FDR Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial. The Lincoln Memorial stop also serves the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial and the Korean War Veteran's Memorial. MLK Jr. and FDR Memorials are the same stop. There are walking tour opportunities at each of the three stops.
- The tour will end end in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, not at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. This requires travel on your own back to the Omni (15-minute walk, 5-minute taxi or share ride).
